I love carpets. They remind me being a small child. When there really was nothing else to do and all my toys had been exhausted, I would lay on the carpet at home and play with the pile and look at the patterns thinking and imaging. Those carpets formed the tapestry of some great stories in my mind and would often spark an idea into imaginary play. I still love the workmanship, imagination and cultural history that is documented in thread. When I think about it they are probably a huge influence on my love of geometry and pattern. Along with quilting, as my mother quilted, I was lucky enough to experience surface design from a very early age. I like the rugs in these rooms. They bring so much warmth and interest to the schemes. ImageImageImageImageImageImageImage
